Yeah, it looks like Bell is a good fit for the GSW. Money well spent. Bell is a junior and a bit old, which means he won't grow taller, but with better high tech training and coaching, he should contribute to GSW's rim defense and also provide some offensive rebounding for the GSW.
Note that even when Green was drafted in 2012, he was about the same age as Bell (22 yrs old). If GSW can develop Bell into another Green, their coaching team will no doubt rank #1 among all teams, including the Spurs. In fact, they may already rank #1, as they have produced stars like their core big 3. However, it's a big "IF" as Bell is even taller and lack most of the skills/natural talents that Green posseses (Bell can't dribble, can't pass the ball and is prone to turnovers). The most likely outcome is that Bell will improve his skills and provide needed "low cost" help to the GSW in defending their championship. ... |
